University closed over holiday break

Queen's University will close for the holidays at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24 and reopen at 8:30 am on Thursday, Jan. 2. Departments should turn off all office lights, close windows and doors, and set thermostats no lower than 18 C or 65 F to conserve energy.

Campus Security will remain fully staffed throughout the annual shutdown and will respond to calls and emergencies 24 hours a day. Campus Security will conduct special patrols during daytime hours, in addition to its regular nightly patrols. If Queen's community members observe suspicious activity while on campus during the shutdown period, they can contact the Emergency Report Centre at ext. 36111 (or 613 533-6111 from off campus) or by using any emergency or assistance phone. Visit the Campus Security website for additional security tips or to sign up for security alert emails.
