What is Office 365 ProPlus?

Microsoft has launched a new program granting students free access to Office 365 ProPlus while attending school. Queen's is one of the few universities that meet Microsoft's criteria: Office 365 is licensed for students, and Microsoft Office is purchased for all faculty and staff. This means that students will be able to use Office applications (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Windows or Mac), for the duration of their time at Queen's.

What about students who have paid for Office?
Currently, students have the option to purchase a version of Office365 University from the Campus Computer store at $79 for a four-year subscription. This offer benefits students who might be leaving Queen's within the next four years, since they will be able to continue using Office 2013 for the full four years after purchase, while Office 365 ProPlus is licenced only to currently enrolled students. Office365 University also includes 20 GB SkyDrive storage and 60 Skype world minutes per month.
