Compromised NETID accounts at Queens
Posted 2014 September 16
The following is a Queen's University ITServices notification.
If you receive a suspicious message to your Queen's email account: do not reply, do not click any links contained within it, and do not open any attached files. To see examples of suspicious emails, go to: http://www.queensu.ca/its/security/EducationAndAwareness/phishing/samples.html If you DO click on a link contained in an email and you attempt to log in, be aware that your credentials (NetID and password) have just been captured by a hacker and you are now at risk. If this occurs, change your NetID password immediately by following the instructions found on the Queen's website. For assistance, please contact the IT Support Centre. Need Help? Call the ITServices Support Centre at 613.533.6666 or fill out the online help form: http://www.queensu.ca/its/apps/forms/itsc/helpform
