Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine's Annual Research Day

This year's Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine's Annual Research Day will take place on Thursday May 22nd, 2014 from 1pm - 6pm at the Donald Gordon Centre, Queen's University. This event provides a venue for the Department's Post-Doctoral Fellows and Pathology Residents to present platform presentations of their research.

In past years I've received some very positive feedback around this event and how it allows the clinical and research arms of the Department to come together. Again this year we are pleased to invite the Department's graduate students to also attend.

This year, we will have a guest keynote speaker, Dr. Pedram Argani, from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Argani is a practicing surgical pathologist with over 240 publications. He is highly engaged in teaching and research, particularly at the resident and postdoctoral level. His clinical and research interests focus on breast and kidney cancer. He is largely responsible for identification of translocation-associated renal cell carcinomas.

*** If you are a Post-Doctoral Fellow or Resident trainee, and you have presented a talk or a poster at a prior meeting, you are expected to present your work at this venue. You are also encouraged to present work that you have not yet presented.
